I bought these shoes for running only. I have wide feet and an under-pronating stride (outward roll). I also prefer a flatter sole with less drop from heel to toe. My requirements severely restrict my choices in running shoes.

This is my third pair of Gel Ventures. I have run in these twice since they were delivered, and they fit and feel exactly like my second pair in blue that I bought eight months ago and still use. I just retired my first pair (Gel Venture 4) with 350 miles on them, but I should have let them go at around 340 miles.

These are not as durable as the one other model that meets my requirements (a different brand). Those last about 100 more miles per pair, but that model costs more than twice what these Gel Venture shoes cost.
